Mother’s Day is fast approaching and I wanted to share with you a few things that I believe make for the perfect day.
Every mom deserves a special present on this very special day. Although many of you have probably already thought this out, others like myself, are just getting started. Here are a few simple, yet thoughtful and personal gifts that you still have time to make for your mom this year.
First are these adorable mini polaroid magnets. I am just dying over these. If I don’t get them for Mother’s Day I am totally going to make these for myself.

I love a project that requires either things you already have or things that will cost you very little to buy. This is one of those…pvc pipe, modge podge, and your own pics is all it takes. What a statement to have this sitting at your brunch table.

This next project could be one of the most clever ideas I have seen in quite a long time. Using all recycled objects with a wee bit of twine and you have these amazing plant markers. I think these would even look cute in my little container garden!

Anything made out of clothes pins is a hit in my book. These little planters are simple to make, look great alone, and make quite a statement when grouped together.

I love coffee. It wouldn’t be a great Mother’s Day if I didn’t have a Starbucks in my hand at some point during the day. It would be an even greater Mother’s Day if my Starbucks had it’s own sleeve. Too cute!

Now, after I have opened my present, what will the rest of my day look like??
This guy was trying to get a job with the Queen of England, but I a pretty sure he might be serving at my house this weekend.
I love breakfast in bed. I imagine my day starting off with a delicious feast served up on a beautiful tray dressed with fresh flowers. Check out What’s Cooking Chicago to find some amazing dishes that would be perfect to serve to your mom.

Next to my fresh flowers you will definitely see this beautiful napkin rose.

What will I be eating?? Eggs, hashbrowns, cheese, bacon….yep!

When my skillet is done I will for sure be dining on these Caramel Apple Cinnamon Rolls.

The cinnamon rolls will be followed up by a Strawberry and Cream French Toast bake.

The rest of the day I will be doing what every mother dreams of….relaxing!!
(need to make sure the family checks out My Magic Mom to get this hammock made by Sunday)

Here’s hoping that your Mother’s Day is everything that you are hoping for!
Happy Mother’s Day!
