We have had the most fabulous weather the last two days!! I just cannot wait for it to stick around for good. We are expecting highs in the 40’s this weekend…yuck!
Even though we are going to have a few colder days, I couldn’t help myself from planting a few flowers outside. They will have to be brought in at night, but I can deal with that.
I wanted to do something new and fun on my porch. I decided to combine my love of numbers and burlap to create some pots that display my house numbers.
These were super easy to make, cheap, and I love the graphic detail that they add to the porch.
Here’s what you need to get it done:
1. I used terra cotta planters ($2.98/ea.)
2. burlap (which I already had on hand…usually only a couple bucks a yard. I probably used about 1 1/2 yards)
3. hot glue gun
4. paint and number stencils
I cut a square of burlap and then hot glued the edges into the inside lip of the terra cotta planter. It doesn’t look the prettiest inside, but I knew that it would be covered by dirt anyway.
Then, I stenciled the number onto the front…easy peasy!!
Here is before the flowers were added…
And the after…
Bring on Summer…I am ready!
I may not make it all of these parties each week, but I sure do love them all! Check them out and let them know I sent you!
