I am so excited to be finally revealing my second floor hallway. After weeks of working on trim and re-doing my doors I finally had time to put the finishing touches together!
Lets take a look back at what the hallway looked like before. So ugly!
My first step was redoing my doors(tutorial HERE). I also revamped $4 Target curtains to fit the space(tutorial HERE). I also painted all the trim work white…yuck, this could be the most un-fun thing I have ever done! And, finally I had a space that was ready to be prettied up….my favorite part!
This is what I came up with…be prepared for a lot of pics! To get the full feeling of this tiny space I had to take some from every angle!
Now that you have the big picture, lets talk about the details.
The cow head: I found this at Hobby Lobby for around $15 and then it was spray painted with my favorite Krylon Bahama Breeze spray paint.
The frame: Was created from old wood that I found behind our shop and then I added vintage yard sticks for a fun detail.
I mitered the corners of the wood and then used wood glue to hold it together. After it was glued, I used flat angle brackets to secure the corners and added picture hangers to the top. So easy!
My favorite part of the frame is the yard stick that says “BOWL REGULARLY FOR HEALTH AND PLEASURE”. So funny!
The numbers: I have probably made it clear that I am a totally nuts for numbers. These metal numbers I found on my recent trip to Minneapolis. Aren’t they just fabulous?!
The Chippy Pedestal: I have had this so long I cannot remember where it even came from. It has been sitting on my back deck for years which has added to the unique patina.
Photographs: These photos of my sweet girls are my favorite photos ever. They will probably hang right here in my hallway forever!
Although this space is not seen by many, it is still so nice to have a beautiful space for our family to enjoy! Thank you for taking the time to check it out today.
Please let me know what you think. I absolutely adore all of your comments! If you like what you see, I would love to have you as a follower. Please let me know so I can make sure to follow you back!
