Pallet Perfection

I have had a bare spot in my bedroom that I knew needed something.  But what?  Fortunately,  last week I had the door off of my bathroom and had placed it in this very spot.  So of course this got me to thinking…”that space would look great with something tall and wide right there”…of course!!

I thought long and hard…well not to long and too hard! I came up with this project that I already had all of the ingredients to put together.
Check it out and then let me know what you think!
pallet 034
This is the completed project!
Very easy to do.  I already had this old pallet that had been sitting behind our shop for who knows how long.  The handles are from Hobby Lobby (50% off- probably $1.50 each!).  The rest were pics and past projects that I was not using.  My room is a pretty blue and I have wanted to keep the accessories pretty neutral with almost a beachy feel.
I kept all of the handles one color but, as you can see, I like the look of having a variety of different styles.

The “bare bones”.

And now the pretties!

Boy, I love me some numbers!!

Silhouettes are timeless and I think go with any décor!

Black and white photography is a must have.

pallet 015
It would not be a beachy feel without a little bit of driftwood.

And more numbers just for good measure!
Thank you for stopping by!  All comments and suggestions are welcomed…really!  Check out my party page to see where I will be linking up this week!  And, if you like what you see here I would love it if you would sign up to follow me on Linky Followers.

I say it is strange sometimes how you might be looking up something and then come across a post of the same thing. I had looked up weird furniture finding all kinds of pallet furniture that I have been putting together for post later. I then came across your design from http://simplydesigning.blogspot.com/
I love the look you have created with the addition of the handles. Your taste in how to arrange things to flow is great.

  39. So let me see here, I have the knobs. I don't know why I have them, probably because, like you, I bought them on sale. So now I only need to find me a pallet. :D I like how you hung the two pictures together and the two typography pieces make this so on-trend. I'm inspired. 44. Found your blog from Debbie's showcasing your wall pallet! I think it is beautiful! -now don't laugh:-) Was the pallet that big or did you have to put several together to get that size? How did you do that? also did you make the driftwood wreath? I love the name of your blog!

  45. Maggie! I LOVE this. So many details I love...the driftwood, the knobs, the number art...the silhouettes. We may have been separated a birth, I just made a project out of a pallet, made number art and diy canvas silhouettes.

  55. I haven't seen any pallets this long. I think I would have to put two together, which makes it a bit more challenging (not impossible) for me. Thanks for this idea though - I have a bunch of (matching) handles from an old chest of drawers I will put to use now!
